Good things truly do come in small packages, and this is especially true of AccuQuilt’s only 4" finished Block on Board (BOB) die. Washington’s Puzzler is a petite yet characterful block that is quick and enjoyable to make, offering an excellent way to use up scraps while adding visual interest to your quilt projects.
Despite its smaller finished size, this block delivers a strong design impact. It works beautifully on its own, as part of a repeated layout, or combined with GO! Qubes to expand your design possibilities even further. Its compact scale makes it ideal for borders, sashing, miniature quilts, and detail-driven layouts.
There are no templates, no special rulers, and no paper piecing required. This single die cuts five shapes that are traditionally time-consuming to cut by hand, all accurately and consistently. Each shape includes clear screen printed letters to make piecing straightforward and to help keep everything organised.
To help you get started with confidence, free pattern downloads and step by step block assembly instructions are included. The die is also Fat Quarter friendly, making it practical as well as creative.
Do you EQ? If you have Electric Quilt® Software, you can use it to create your own Plaited Block designs from their block library and cut your fabric.
