If you have a quilt top that needs to be finished, we can help with the aid of our Bernina Q24 Q-Matic and computerised Edge 2 Edge designs. We have a great selection of quilting patterns and styles.

With many years of quilt making and Bernina expertise, offering this exciting service is as enjoyable for us as the results will be for you.

We have built our skills by though a range of courses with professional longarm quilters, and Katherine has attended specialist Q-Series training at Bernina International in Switzerland.

In addition, we have recruited to the QD team award-winning longarm quilter and Bernina Q-Series UK ambassador, Linzi Upton.

Together, we can help complete your quilt for you or the lucky recipient to treasure.

TOP

Please press the completed quilt top and trim loose threads before bringing/sending your quilt top to us.

Also, please attach a note to the top of your quilt (using a safety pin), indicating whether it is directional.


BACKING

We recommend 100% cotton, and have several 108” wide backings for you to choose from.

Backing fabric should be joined if necessary, squared, pressed, and MUST be cut at least 8"/20cm wider and longer than the quilt top (in order to attach it to the quilt frame).

Please attach a note to the top of your backing fabric (using a safety pin), indicating whether it is directional.


BATTING

Your batting MUST be at least 4"/10cm larger all around the edges than your quilt top, in order to attach it to the quilt frame.

You can provide your own batting, or purchase from the wide selection on our website.


THREAD

As part of our quilting service, we include Aurifil 50/3 & 40/3 100% cotton threads in the colour of your choice.
