The Bernette Funlock 42 is a coverstitch machine only featuring a total of 3 different coverstitches with a width of 2.8mm and 5.6mm and a chain stitch. With it, you can provide your hems, edges and cuffs with professional stitches, giving your sewing project the perfect look.

Easy threading due to the colour-coded thread guides

This is made easier by the colour-coded threading paths and the lower looper threader. Just follow the coloured symbols and you will soon have your Bernette Funlock 42 threaded.

Large working area for large sewing projectsWith 87mm of fabric passage space to the right of the needles, the bernette Funlock 42 also provides plenty of space for larger sewing projects. Another plus is that the work area is well lit by a bright LED light.

High sewing speed for efficient operationThe sewing speed of the Bernette Funlock 42 can be regulated using the foot control up to a maximum of 1300 stitches/minute and enables very precise stitching at every stitching speed.

Convenient extras for more sewing enjoyment

You can store the most commonly used accessories neatly in the looper cover of your Bernette Funlock 42, so they are always on hand.

When you purchase a new Bernette Funlock 42 from Quilt Direct, we want you to enjoy your new machine to the full. In order to help you get the best of your machine and fulfil your potential we offer extended support and assistance.

We provide a 1-2-1 introduction to your new machine either upon collection or shortly afterwards. Due to current social distancing, our studio is closed, however we are still here to offer virtual help either online or over the phone for sewing machine sales. We even have simulators we can share with you so you can see all the machine functions and features from the comfort of your own home.

We also want you to feel happy and confident with your new machine purchase so we offer you a free 1 to 1 "set up to sew and go" online internet or telephone session to get you started and ready to take on your first sewing project. This session is up to 1 hour.

The Studio at Quilt Direct is located on Dartmoor in Devon, with access for walking, cycling, fishing, golf and many more activities to entertain non-sewing partners and family members. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.

If you would like information regarding local holiday accommodation this too can be provided.
