The Bernina Clear Appliqué Foot 23V is a specialist foot for narrow satin stitch appliqué up to 2mm wide. Its sophisticated design allows fabric to feed smoothly over even the densest rows of stitching, while the clear sole gives an unobstructed view of the stitch area at all times, making it easy to follow outlines and navigate corners with precision.
A cutout on the front of the foot holds a narrow couching thread for satin stitching with cording, and the wide thread channel under the sole makes it equally effective for mini-piping and traditional sewing techniques.

I recently bought a Bernina 770QE but it didn’t come with an appliqué foot. I started off with the universal metal foot which was ok but as I am doing some very small pieces it was difficult to see so I ordered this clear one. It’s much better and so much easier to see when you get to the point. My only criticism is that when you are stitching you have to constantly move the fabric to get the stitches exactly where you want them and there is nothing on this foot to just help lift it that fraction off so you can swivel the fabric. Just a little something to get your finger under would make everything so much easier. Obviously designed by a man who has never sewn!

We completely understand the point you are making. One of the great features of your BERNINA 770 QE is that it already has two ways to make those tiny adjustments much easier. You can use the Free Hand System (knee lift) to raise the presser foot slightly while keeping both hands on your work, or you can use the Hover function, which automatically lifts the presser foot slightly whenever the needle stops in the down position. Both features make it much easier to pivot and reposition your fabric accurately without losing your place.
