The High Thread can be used for free-motion sewing and embroidery when more bobbin tension than what is delivered with the standard bobbin case is desired to achieve optimal results. Compared to the black bobbin case the upper thread is pulled slightly more to the underside of the fabric. This creates an optimal result on the top side of the material.
