Mettler 40wt Silk Finish

Mettler 40wt Silk Finish cotton thread is a mercerised cotton thread offering reliable stitch formation and balanced tension across a wide range of quilting and sewing applications. Slightly heavier than the 50wt, it produces a more defined stitch line, making it well suited to machine quilting, hand quilting, and general sewing. Available in 150m, 457m, and 1463m spools.

Mettler 40wt is also an excellent choice for visible topstitching on dresses, skirts, shirts, and soft tailoring, where a traditional, slightly more pronounced stitch is desirable.
