Mettler 50wt Silk Finish

Mettler Silk Finish is a 50wt mercerised cotton thread with a smooth, lustrous finish, designed primarily for machine use. It produces flat, neat seams that press well, making it ideal for patchwork, piecing, and general sewing. Available in 150m, 500m, and 1829m spools.

It is also well-suited to machine quilting where subtle stitch definition is preferred, and to lightweight dressmaking on blouses, summer dresses, and fine fabrics. As cotton has less give than polyester, it is less suitable for garments that need to withstand heavy strain or stress.
