Mettler Shirring Elastic

This is the ideal elastic thread for smocking or gathering fabrics. Our elastic sewing thread is ideally suited for use on a sewing machine.

Spools contain 10m (11yds).  We recommend that you use this elastic in the bobbin of your machine with a longer than normal stitch length.  Tension adjustment will create different effects too.
