This ruler is brilliant, but the double sided sticky pads are awful. Peeling them from their backing and attaching them to the ruler was simple - it went downhill after that. I could not get the covers off the pads without taking a sharp point to one of the corners. One of them curled up on itself as I pulled the cover away. They did the job of keeping the ruler firmly on the sewing machine, but when I tried to remove the ruler from the machine, slowly as described, they all pealed off the ruler and stuck to the machine. Getting them off the machine was a nightmare - over 10 minutes as I tried to get them off and keep them flat for future use. It just didn't work - they stck to themselves and curled up constantly. So they are in the bin and I'll use masking tape when I want to use the ruler.
5 stars for the ruler - 1/2 star for the sticky pads..
