Liberty Edition Details
The limited-edition Glen Lyon Blooms floral finish is complemented by 32 exclusive Liberty decorative stitches. The machine also includes 91 exclusive Liberty embroidery designs for use with the optional embroidery module.

The BERNINA Hook
The BERNINA Hook supports stitches up to 9 mm wide. Its jumbo bobbin holds up to 70% more thread than a standard bobbin, reducing bobbin changes during sewing and embroidery.

BERNINA Adaptive Thread Tension
The tension system responds electronically to stitch width, stitch length, sewing speed and needle position on each needle penetration, helping maintain balanced thread tension.

Everyday Sewing Controls
Semi-automatic threading, automatic presser foot lowering at the start of a seam and an automatic thread cutter simplify routine tasks. The centrally located 4.3" colour touchscreen and lower thread sensor help you manage settings and monitor your sewing.

BERNINA Dual Feed
Dual Feed moves fabric from above and below to help control layered or slippery materials. It disengages and folds away when not required.

BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR)
The included BSR supports free-motion sewing and quilting with straight or zigzag stitches, helping keep stitch length consistent as you vary your sewing speed.

Room and Control for Your Projects
There is 8½" of space to the right of the needle and a maximum sewing speed of 1,000 stitches per minute. Multi-function knobs allow adjustments while sewing, and the programmable foot control can be set to suit your workflow. Front-mounted reverse and securing buttons are within easy reach, while the free arm helps with cuffs and sleeves.

Supplied with 1 BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition sewing machine, included presser feet, accessories and Liberty dust cover. Embroidery Module M (SDT) is included only with the machine-and-module option. See the Accessories tab for the full supplied list.

Embroidery Made Easy
Add the optional Embroidery Module M with Smart Drive Technology (SDT) for machine embroidery, with smooth movement and on-screen design control. Choose the machine-and-module option if you want the embroidery module supplied with your machine.

Exclusive Liberty Embroidery Designs
The B580 Liberty Edition includes 349 built-in embroidery designs, including 91 exclusive Liberty designs inspired by Glen Lyon Blooms and Velasco Meadow. These include floral motifs, in-the-hoop projects and sampler-style designs for quilts, garments and accessories.

Optional Embroidery Module M (SDT)
The optional module provides a maximum embroidery area of 400 mm by 150 mm, with smoother, quieter movement for embroidery projects.

Half-price Module Offer
We offer the Embroidery Module M at half price when purchased with the BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition, making it an excellent time to choose the embroidery option from the outset. If you think you may want embroidery, buying the module with the machine offers outstanding value compared with adding it later.

Every customer receives a personalised 1-2-1 introduction to their machine, either at the time of collection or shortly afterwards.

We also offer a complimentary** Bernina Mastery Session at our Studio, which you can attend within two years of purchasing your machine. Additional sessions are available at the standard rate.

Our Studio is located within the stunning Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon. The area boasts scenic walking trails, cycling routes, fishing spots, golf courses, and more; perfect for entertaining non-sewing partners and family members. If you require details on local holiday accommodations, we’re happy to assist.

Additionally, Bernina’s London Tuition Centre provides free machine-specific tuition for new Bernina owners, offering even more opportunities to refine your skills.

Embroidery Module Option
Embroidery Module M (SDT) is supplied only when you select the machine-and-module option. It is not included with the sewing-machine-only option.

Bernina machines sold in the United Kingdom currently include a full 7 year manufacturer’s warranty covering the whole machine, giving you long term confidence in your investment.

At Quilt Direct, we want you to feel confident and well supported with your new machine. We will help you register your warranty so everything is set up correctly from the start.

To activate the extended warranty, complete the warranty card included with your machine and return it to Quilt Direct. We will sign and register the warranty for you and arrange for your official extended warranty certificate to be issued by Bernina’s UK distributor, Bogod & Co.

To maintain the extended warranty, the machine should be serviced within the recommended service periods. Bernina sewing machines include electronic stitch counters which display an on screen message when a service is due.

Even if the machine is used only occasionally and the stitch counter reminder has not appeared, the machine should still be serviced at least once every 3 years to keep it running smoothly.

The extended warranty applies to normal domestic use only and is valid for the original purchaser of the machine. It does not apply to machines used for educational or commercial purposes.

If you have any questions about your warranty, servicing, or looking after your machine, the Quilt Direct team will always be happy to help.

Your machine will be shipped via an insured courier. For in‑stock machines, we dispatch Monday to Thursday on a Next Working Day delivery service.

The BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition is a limited-edition special. We currently have availability from our November shipment (date to be confirmed). As soon as stock arrives, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date or collection from the Studio.

Alternatively, you are very welcome to arrange for the collection of your machine from the Studio once it is available. If you require advice before purchasing, our team will be happy to help you choose the best configuration for your sewing, quilting and embroidery needs.
