Bernina Oil for the new style 4, 5, 7 and 8 Bernina machines as well as the Q Series. This is a slightly less viscous oil; research has found it is more suitable and is now the only oil recommended by the Bernina engineers for use on the new series of machines that run faster. 

(Refer to your manual for cleaning and oiling instructions.)

    Always enjoy your goodies, but at 85 years I am desperately trying to “live” off my extensive stock and have to tell myself that I do not need anymore fabric …… and is hard!

    This oil is an absolute necessity for my wonderful Bernina B790 plus!

    Bernina oil for Rotary Models no 6

    I far prefer the pen oiling tool which was the original sort I believe. This new one makes it oh so fiddley and I have to take my Horn insert out every time I clean and oil now.

    Dear Vicki,
    Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. We completely understand how the bottle format can feel a bit more fiddly compared to the pen-style applicator. The reason Bernina moved to the upright bottle design is to help prevent leaks, but the good news is that the original pens are refillable. This way, you can keep using the tool you find easiest while topping it up with the new oil.

    Just a little tip: the lids on the pens are reverse screw, so they twist off the opposite way. Hopefully, that makes oiling a little simpler for you!

    Oiling my Bernina 770qe

    I always buy BERNINA oil, as my machine e is too precious to trust anything else. It does seem rather expensive though for such a small amount.
