Aurifil 80wt 2-ply cotton thread is an ultra-fine thread designed for English paper piecing, appliqué, and other fine hand sewing techniques where an almost invisible stitch is desired. Wound on a 274m small spool, it is ideal for projects requiring precision and delicacy.

The 80wt weight is the finest in the Aurifil cotton range, sinking completely into the fabric to create virtually invisible stitching, perfect for hand piecing where the thread should never distract from the fabric.

    A fine thread

    This is my first time using Aurifil thread. I had a little difficulty finding the end at first but thereafter, all good. I've used it for machine and hand embroidery and it's perfect for fine details. I'm keen to try out some other colours now I've tested this thread.
