Liberty Velasco Meadow design

The BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition is dressed in Liberty’s Velasco Meadow print, a romantic floral design created in Liberty’s London studio. This limited edition brings a touch of heritage charm to your sewing room, with a coordinating dust cover available to complete the look.

The BERNINA Hook

At the heart of the B495 Liberty Edition is the BERNINA Hook, engineered for smooth, quiet stitching with beautiful precision. The jumbo bobbin holds more thread than a standard bobbin, so you can sew for longer between bobbin changes.

Modern colour touch screen

A centrally located colour touch screen keeps key settings easy to see and adjust while you sew. Simple, intuitive navigation helps you move quickly between stitches and settings without interrupting your flow.

Adjustable presser foot pressure

Adjustable presser foot pressure helps you handle everything from fine dress fabrics to layered patchwork with confidence. Lighten the pressure for delicate fabrics, or increase it when you need extra control for thicker seams.

BSR compatible

The B495 Liberty Edition is BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR) enabled, giving you the option to add these features for even greater fabric control and free‑motion confidence. This makes it an excellent choice for sewists who expect their machine to grow with their skills.

Liberty decorative stitches

The machine includes a curated selection of Liberty decorative stitches inspired by Velasco Meadow, ready to add romantic borders, accents and details to garments, quilts and home décor. These Liberty stitches sit alongside a wide range of practical, decorative and quilting stitches, giving you plenty of room to explore.

At Quilt Direct, we want you to make the most of your new Bernina machine. That’s why we provide extended support and assistance to help you unlock its full potential. Every customer receives a personalised 1-2-1 introduction to their machine, either at the time of collection or shortly afterwards.

We also offer a complimentary** Bernina Mastery Session at our Studio, which you can attend within two years of purchasing your machine. Additional sessions are available at the standard rate.

Our Studio is located within the stunning Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon. The area boasts scenic walking trails, cycling routes, fishing spots, golf courses, and more; perfect for entertaining non-sewing partners and family members. If you require details on local holiday accommodations, we’re happy to assist.

Additionally, Bernina’s London Tuition Centre provides free machine-specific tuition for new Bernina owners, offering even more opportunities to refine your skills.

Bernina machines sold in the United Kingdom currently include a full 7 year manufacturer’s warranty covering the whole machine, giving you long term confidence in your investment.

At Quilt Direct, we want you to feel confident and well supported with your new machine. We will help you register your warranty so everything is set up correctly from the start.

To activate the extended warranty, complete the warranty card included with your machine and return it to Quilt Direct. We will sign and register the warranty for you and arrange for your official extended warranty certificate to be issued by Bernina’s UK distributor, Bogod & Co.

To maintain the extended warranty, the machine should be serviced within the recommended service periods. Bernina sewing machines include electronic stitch counters which display an on screen message when a service is due.

Even if the machine is used only occasionally and the stitch counter reminder has not appeared, the machine should still be serviced at least once every 3 years to keep it running smoothly.

The extended warranty applies to normal domestic use only and is valid for the original purchaser of the machine. It does not apply to machines used for educational or commercial purposes.

If you have any questions about your warranty, servicing, or looking after your machine, the Quilt Direct team will always be happy to help.

Your BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition will be shipped via insured courier. For in‑stock machines we dispatch Monday to Thursday on a Next Working Day delivery service.

The B495 Liberty Edition is a limited‑edition model, and our first deliveries are expected in August 2026 (date to be confirmed). As soon as stock arrives, we will contact you to confirm a convenient delivery date or collection from the Studio.

Alternatively, you are very welcome to arrange for the collection of your machine from the Studio once it is available.
