Over two inspiring days, you'll learn how to make the most of your sewing machine, including:

  • Understanding machine setup and maintenance
  • Understanding and working with presser feet, functions & settings for precision sewing
  • Discovering tips and techniques to enhance every project
  • Exploring decorative stitches and creative stitch combinations

This course is suitable for the new BERNINA 5 and 7 Series machines.
Our expert tutor will help you gain confidence and inspire you to get creative with your sewing.

The course runs from 10am to 4pm each day, with refreshment breaks in the morning and afternoon and ½ hr for lunch - bring your own or purchase from our local café (chargeable).

What to Bring

  • A requirements list will be sent out to you ahead of the class
  • Refreshments will be available throughout the day and we will take orders for lunch to be delivered from our local cafe (chargeable) or please feel free to bring your own

Cancellation Policy

If for some reason you are unable to attend the course, we will be happy to refund the amount paid, give a credit, try and move you to another class or apply a store credit provided you give us more than five days’ notice. Cancellations less than five days prior to the class may result in a full fee forfeiture.

Katherine Letherby

Katherine first opened the business in 1986 under the name Moor Silks and Quilts. Not long after, she discovered BERNINA sewing machines and has never looked back. As a hands-on owner, Katherine is closely involved in every aspect of Quilt Direct and personally leads most of the BERNINA Mastery Classes. A passionate quilter and horse rider, she only wishes there were more hours in the day and days in the week.
