The Groovin’ Piping Trimming Tool is designed to help you achieve a perfectly accurate seam allowance when preparing piping for quilt binding. After sewing your piping, simply lay the tool over the stitched cord with the cording sitting neatly in the groove, then trim along the edge using a rotary cutter. This produces a clean, consistent seam allowance every time.
At 11½" long, the tool allows you to trim long lengths of piping efficiently, making it ideal for larger quilts or repeated projects. Two built-in grooves provide the choice of ¼" or ½" seam allowances, offering flexibility depending on your binding method.
The tool is suitable for use with piping cord up to ⅛" in diameter and can be turned for comfortable left-handed use. It works with any standard rotary cutter size.
