Learn to master your BERNINA Q Series machine (Q16, Q20, Q24 sit-down and frame models).   Whether you are just starting out on longarm quilting or looking for new ideas and techniques to your existing knowledge, then this Bernina Longarm course taught by Bernina Longarm Ambassador and award winning quilter Linzi Upton is for you! 

  • Familiarisation with the Q Series in table and frame combinations including accessories such as rulerwork, couching, freemotion
  • BSR modes will be explored
  • How to prepare a project for quilting
  • Choosing appropriate designs which may be free-motion, ruler or pantograph
  • Threads, batting, needle choices

This course also provides you with the certification to hire our longarm machines for DIY quilting at a future date.

What to Bring

  • A requirements list will be sent out to you ahead of the class
  • Refreshments will be available throughout the day and we will take orders for lunch to be delivered from our local cafe (chargeable)or please feel free to bring your own

Cancellation Policy

If for some reason you are unable to attend the course, we will be happy to refund the amount paid, give a credit, try and move you to another class or apply a store credit provided you give us more than five days’ notice. Cancellations less than five days prior to the class may result in a full fee forfeiture.

Linzi Upton

Award-winning quilter Linzi is queen of the long arms! She carries out our edge-to-edge service, finishing quilt tops for customers all around the UK. Linzi also presents many of our classes, particularly about the long arms and overlockers. A keen DIYer, Linzi can't pass up an upcycling project. Originally from Aberdeenshire, Linzi moved to Devon in 2024 and brought a little piece of Scotland with her - Scottie dog Nessie!
