Aurifil 50wt Cotton

Aurifil 50wt is a fine, smooth cotton thread designed primarily for machine use. It produces flat, neat seams that press well, making it ideal for patchwork, piecing, and general sewing. Available in 1300m large spools, 5900m cones, and variegated 1300m spools. It is also well suited to machine quilting where subtle stitch definition is preferred, allowing the quilting to enhance the design without dominating it. An excellent choice for lightweight dressmaking on blouses, summer dresses, and fine fabrics. As cotton has less give than polyester, it is less suitable for garments that need to withstand heavy strain or stress.

Recommended needle: 80/12 Microtex/Sharp, Universal or Denim.
