These compensating tools make it easy to sew over cross seams and trims of different heights. With heights of 1.5mm and 3mm, you can sew from fine fabric to heavy and stiff material over seams. Continuing to sew will move the height-compensating tool away backwards underneath the presser foot using fabric transport.
