While the foot resembles the Reverse Pattern Foot #1C, it differs in a few significant ways
The indentation on the bottom of the foot is more rounded on the sides to allow the smooth sideways passage of thread and fabric
There is no cut-out in the sole of the foot to allow thread passage: this makes for a smoother edge around the stitching which allows more even feed of the fabric, especially when moving sideways.
